Vikas Jhingran

On August 18th 2007, Vikas Jhingran prevailed over more than 10,000 speakers from all over the world to become the 2007 Toastmasters World Champion of Public Speaking.
In doing so destroyed many myths: that great speakers are born not made, that engineers can't be entertaining speakers and finally, MIT students are GEEKS.

Currently pursuing a doctoral degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he finds time to attend the Humor and Drama and Friday Toastmasters clubs at MIT. Apart from public speaking, Vikas is keenly interested in leadership theory and practice, and has been involved with many leadership initiatives in and outside of MIT.
